The Wheel of Life - Are you balanced?

A great life coaching tool if you want to take a helicopter view of your life is the "Wheel of Life". Here I will explain what it is and how you can complete this for yourself.


When I first start with coaching clients, they are not always 100% sure why they want to be coached, and so I find The Wheel of Life great as an ice-breaker, and a great way to build our coaching relationship. It's easy, fun and simple to do yet also very revealing, and the areas they score lowest, aren’t always what they expect.


The Wheel of life is a circle divided into 8 sections or spokes, each representing an area of life such as health, finances, relationships and personal development. To complete the Wheel, each section is marked out of 10, with 0 being the lowest score and 10 the highest.


Once completed the Wheel will look like a spider web, and the aim is to better understand what is causing the lower scores and what could help increase the score closer to a 10.
