How much do you believe in yourself to follow through on what you say you'll do? That's self trust. And like many things, self trust is a skill, and gets better with practise. If you're swimming in a sea of self-doubt 🌊, here are 5 ways to get yourself back to the shore of self-trust. 🏊♀️
1. Do something every day for 21 days
It doesn't have to be big. It might be taking a vitamin. Or drinking a glass of water when you wake up. Whatever you choose, just do it every day - whatever happens.
2. Change the way you speak to yourself
How do you speak to yourself when you mess up or do something wrong? Like a friend or your worst enemy? First step is becoming aware of what you're saying. Then try a little kindness.
3. Say no straight away
If you don't want to do something or go somewhere, don't say maybe. Or a weak yes. As the song says "let your yes be yes, and your no be no."
4. Create a list of 10 daily priorities
This isn't a to do list. This is more a self-care list. What 10 things do you need to do each day in order to be at your best?
5. Do one scary thing per week
Push yourself out of your comfort zone. Whichever zone it is in. Try a new fitness class. Put your hand up at work when you're not 100% you can do it. Talk to someone you don't know. Choose whichever form of bravery you want, but do it. Every week.
What tips do you have to build up self-trust or banish self-doubt?
