Love learning random things? Me too.

So I'm not really sure what I want to say in this post. But bear (bare?) with me! I'm looking for the next evolution of my business and I'm just not sure what it is yet. So rather than sit for days on end wondering what could be the golden egg that means I can move to Ibiza, work 3 hours a week and afford every luxurious thing I don't even know I need yet, I've decided to just start writing.

I do have an idea about what I'm going to write. It will be about all the new and exciting things I'm learning, studying and watching. And I'll be condensing the hours spent in my favourite activity (learning new things), into bitesized chunks of the best, most useful pieces of information and sharing my experience is of putting them into action.

The truth is, I miss working in an office, surrounded by captive colleagues who have no choice but to listen to my random musings on my latest obsession.

However the fight I'm currently having with my brain is this:

Me: "I'm going to start sharing everything I'm learning."

My brain: "But why? What will it be? Who will read it? Is it worth it? How will it make you money? What if it doesn't make you money? Shouldn't you think about this for another 6 years and get a 25 page business plan together, just so you're sure it will work??"

Me: "But even with a plan, I won't know for sure it will work."

Brain: "Better not try then, eh?"

And up until today that's how it has gone and stopped me from doing anything. But after a lovely coaching session (and signing my allegiance to the Agile rather than Waterfall methodology many moons ago), I'm just going to start and see what happens.

When I say I love learning. I really mean it. And it's pretty indescriminate. It doesn't matter what it is, as long as it's new.

For example: over the last couple of months I've been learning about:

  • The Metaverse: VR / AR / Blockchain and other tech things

  • Positive Psychology: Strengths, Resilience, Positive Emotions, Relationships

  • Intermittent Fasting

  • Detoxing your armpits (did you know that IS 100% a thing??!)

  • Functional Medicine (using food as medicine)

  • Breath-work - thanks to Wim Hof

  • Motivational Interviewing / Coaching

  • As well as ADHD and Autism

So if you fancy joining me for the ride, please come back soon to find out more about the above and / or my newest favourite learning crush. And who knows where we will go together (hopefully to Ibiza at some learning festival retreat in my seafront villa's back garden) - you're all invited!
