What is life coaching?

Life coaching is not therapy. Its a forward looking set of tools and techniques built on a number of key disciplines such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (& Coaching), Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Transactional Analysis (TA). Life coaching helps move clients from where they are today, to where they want to be. It takes place in confidential sessions where the client sets the agenda of the change they'd like to see in their lives and the coach, through questioning, reflection and specific tools, techniques and models creates a space for the change to happen.

Who is life coaching for?

Life coaching is for anyone who wants to create some sort of change in their lives. Whether that's mental, emotional, physical, financial or spiritual change. As a life coach, I can't wave my wand and make the change happen. Long-lasting change happens when clients fully commit to showing up whole-heartedly, opening up and doing the work both in and between sessions.

My sessions vary from 30 minute check in and accountability calls to deeper 2 hour sessions. My standard sessions are 60 minutes long, but I've built my Life Coaching Packages to give complete flexibility on how you use up the hours. I offer both face to face or online (via Zoom video calls) sessions to suit each client's needs and location. When starting out, I prefer to work with clients on a weekly basis as this builds up momentum quickly, then move to fortnightly or monthly as the coaching relationship develops.  Each session I set aside time to prepare beforehand and afterwards for reflection, to write up notes and to email them to the client.

How many coaching sessions will I need?

How many sessions will I need?

Change can start from your very first life coaching session. However, the number of sessions a client will need is completely personal. It depends on their circumstances, what they'd like to work through and how quickly they want the shifts to happen. My packages range from 4.5 hours to 11 hours of 1:1 coaching and typically run between one and six months.

What changes can I expect?

Through my life coaching sessions, I help to create a better understanding of who you are, what makes you tick, what's important to you and what makes you special. This understanding will take you from a place of self-doubt and low confidence, to one of power and self-acceptance, enabling you to stop worrying about doing the right thing, and to back yourself more in all areas of your life.

How much does life coaching cost?

Life coaching costs can vary massively depending on the coach you choose, and how many sessions you have. There is no set industry standard for how much a session should cost, and some coaches choose to work on hourly rates, others choose packages for a set number of sessions or timeframe. If you want to find out about my coaching costs, visit my Life Coaching Packages page for all the details.
